After stops in Colorado and California, the Western Swing concludes at scenic Pacific Raceways. One of the tour most breathtaking environments, the facility is parked in the shadow of majestic Mount Rainier and surrounded by towering trees that add more than beauty at the first stop on the Western Swing: They emit tons of power-enhancing oxygen to feed the appetites of the high-horsepower machines, resulting in prime performances.

Summer Farm to Table Dinners at Sol to Seed Farms

May 29th, 2012
Dinners events will start July 28th!!!

What could top the experience of enjoying locally sourced food and wine, served among the most pristine and breathtaking Northwest settings?

How about enjoying such a memorable meal, knowing the proceeds will support some of the region's most unique non profits!

You are cordially invited to join the farmers at Sol to Seed this July 28, on the banks of the mighty Snoqualmie River, for a magnificent afternoon of food, wine pairings and conversation -- using only local fresh ingredients. Sol to Seed Farm is a small family-owned and operated farm in Carnation, growing vegetables and herbs on two lush acres each season. Farming on this land has been a lifetime commitment and we strive to allow nature to lead the way -- with just enough support from us! We incorporate many growing philosophies, all of which are based on organic growing practices at the core. We use no synthetics and are 100 percent committed to using non-GMO seed in our farming practices.

Your meal will be set near glorious and stately 85 year old apple trees, which will serve as host to a menu created from the fresh vegetables and herbs ready for harvest that very day. Our guest chef will gather ingredients creating a truly fresh and unique meal. Any additional items will be sourced from our neighboring farms and other local food artisans. In addition, we'll be teaming up with wineries to bring you the most enjoyable local wines that we can find.

Cost is $100 per guest, with proceeds being shared with several local non profits that are close to our hearts. FareStart and Sound Mental Health will receive 20 percent of the evening's proceeds. To learn more or to reserve a space, visit Sol to Seed Website.

We will have a minimum of 12 guests and a maximum of 30 guests.

Call to reserve your space.

News of wineries and brewers that will be joining coming soon.......

Home For The Holidays

November 17th, 2011
For most of us, the holidays evoke memories of family, friends, laughter-and the tender comforts of good food. In the weeks to come, thanks to local chef Renata Bocayuva and sponsor Rainier Lions Club, some of these memory-making good times will come upon the residents of McDermott Place and Gossett Place. Both supportive housing facilities provide shelter and behavioral health services to the homeless.

On Monday, Nov. 21, all residents of McDermott Place are invited to join US Congressman Jim McDermott for a tasty and wholesome holiday feast. The following month, on Thursday, Dec. 8, every tenant of Gossett Place will be invited to join King County Councilmember Larry Gossett to enjoy a beautifully crafted meal. Both dinners, consisting of turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, cranberry and orange sauce, salad and stuffing, will be expertly prepared by Bocayuva.
